Make the most of your time shopping at Half-Pint:

[KIDDOS]

• Children that are WORN on an adult’s body are ALWAYS welcome at the sale!

• While children are allowed at the public portion of the sale, please be aware that this won’t be your average child-friendly shopping environment. Combining the factors of many people, small spaces, and a lot of tempting children’s toys and items (that we would prefer children not play with since the items are for sale), the sale might be a frustrating place for small children. During past sales, children have became separated from their adults during busy times at the sale.  Children and babies in carriers are  ideal!

• STROLLERS ARE ALLOWED during the Volunteer Sale and after peak hours on Saturday, from Noon until end of the sale.  STROLLERS ARE NOT ALLOWED during the Consignor Sale and during peak hours on Saturday, 9am-Noon.

• The only type of strollers that are allowed are low-profile umbrella strollers.

• Please do not allow your children to USE any items that are for sale. In past sales, shoppers have put their children in strollers, exersaucers, etc., or let their children play with toys –  and then other shoppers have passed over these items, and in the end they were left unpurchased or even broken.  Please be considerate of our consignors and shoppers!

[HOLD TABLES]

• Hold tables are available. You may place items on the table by filling out a hold tag. Please only put items on the table you are certain you will be purchasing. Clothing items may only be placed on the table if they are tied up in a bag. Hold tables are cleared between all pre and public sale times.  During the public sale, items may only be on the table for 90 minutes.  Tables are not monitored.

• If you plan to purchase a large item that cannot be put on a hold table, please find a Half-Pint volunteer or staff and they will place your name on the item and give you a sheet of paper that you will use to purchase the item. For the consideration of other shoppers, please make sure you are planning to purchase the item!

[SHOPPING TIPS]

• Have your own shopping bag for all of your purchased goods? Please bring it!

• Bring an outline of your child’s foot so you can tell if shoes (which often vary in size) will fit your child. (Especially if you are more familiar with american sizing – you wouldn’t want to miss out on all of those cool euro shoes!)  Have you downloaded our Shopping Cheat Sheet yet?

• Think Gifts! Watch for items that have their original tabs, perfect for gift giving.

• Remember to come back for the half-price sale to find especially good deals on high quality children’s items. Note: Items that have a green tag on them will NOT be half-price during the half-price sale.  All of these items are over $75. These are the only exceptions (and there are often are very few), so come back and grab some great prices!

• We accept cash and local checks only. (Trying our best to keep consignment returns high and money in our community!)
